Kate was “panicked” and William “furious” at the announcement of the new series.
In a column for Closer UK, a source reveals some clues about the content of “Royal Spin” and Kate’s concerns. “The show’s synopsis mirrors Meghan and Harry’s story, hiding it behind a fictional drama. William, of course, assured Kate that the public, as always, would see through this story,” the source said. “Since they learned the show had been acquired by Universal, there’s been a renewed wave of panic and fear,” she continued, explaining that despite the show’s fictional nature, “the possibility that some of the storylines could be close to reality is very real.”William fears Kate can’t cope anymore. However, he assures him that he won’t contact his brother or question him about the show, so it won’t be used as a plot device and portray him in an even worse light. “He’s absolutely furious,” the source revealed. Scobie also mentions Omid Scobie’s recent books, “Finding Freedom” and “Endgame,” in which he speaks out against Wales. “He claims Prince Harry is considered a ‘threat to the crown,'” the source continues. In “Endgame,” which will be released in summer 2023, Scobie also claims that Kate Middleton “never liked Meghan Markle” and quotes the source, who explains that the ideal princess “spent more time talking about Meghan than with him.”
