Sofia’s hands trembled uncontrollably. Slowly, painfully slowly, she pushed the door open.
There was Isabella.
She sat on the bed, eyes closed, gently rocking back and forth.
Singing Luna’s lullaby.

Her Luna’s song.
Tears filled Sofia’s eyes, hot and unstoppable. This wasn’t a dream. It wasn’t a hallucination.
Just as she was about to whisper her daughter’s name, Isabella opened her eyes.
Large, deep eyes fixed directly on her.
The song stopped at once.
The silence returned—thicker and heavier than before.
But Sofia no longer felt that silence.
All she could feel was the echo of that lullaby… and the terrifying truth beginning to take shape in her mind.
A truth too painful to believe.
