Not anger.
Not self-confidence.
Panic.
My lawyer opened the briefcase.
There were documents inside.
Printed emails.
Bank documents.
Message screenshots.
“These documents show that Mr. Dawson has transferred a significant portion of the marital assets to undisclosed accounts over the past eighteen months.”
The judge looked at the documents handed to him.
“Undisclosed?”
“Yes, Your Highness.”
Caleb’s attorney quickly leaned forward.
“These transfers were related to sound financial planning…”
However, my lawyer continued calmly.
“These messages show that Mr. Dawson was communicating with numerous women during the same period during which he claims he acted as a stable and devoted spouse.”
There was a quiet murmur in the courtroom.
The judge raised his hand again.
There was silence in the room.
He looked at the documents.
And then back to Caleb.
“Mr. Dawson,” he said slowly,
“Your credibility is now seriously in question.”
The Man Who Controlled Everything
Caleb has always been good at taking control of situations.
At home.
At work.
Even during an argument.
He spoke calmly.
He chose his words carefully.
He never lost his temper.
But now that control began to slip away.
I watched it live.
Slight shaking of hands.
Clenched jaw.
Quick glances towards his lawyer.
The judge finally closed the evidence file.
Then he looked at Harper.
The moment that changed things
“Harper,” the judge said gently, “I want you to understand something.”
