My Husband Used My Money To Marry Another Woman — But When He Came Back From His “Honeymoon,” He Found Out I Had Already Sold The Mansion He Planned To Share With His Mistress

It was nearly eight in the evening, and I was still sitting alone in my glass-walled office in Polanco, staring out at the skyline while the last employees quietly left the building.

I had just finalized the most important acquisition of the year. The deal would expand our firm across Latin America and secure bonuses generous enough to fund another year of my husband’s expensive habits.

For years I worked tirelessly to maintain what people called our lifestyle. In reality, it was mine alone, carefully built from sleepless nights and calculated risks that Mauricio never truly understood.

Mauricio Ríos—my charming, endlessly ambitious husband—had long grown comfortable living inside luxury as though it were his natural right rather than a privilege financed entirely by my work.

That evening he was supposedly in Singapore for a business conference. At least that was the story he had told me before leaving, promising vague souvenirs and distracted affection when he returned.

Despite my exhaustion, I picked up my phone and sent him a message.

Take care. I miss you.

The message delivered instantly.

But there was no reply.

An uneasy silence lingered longer than it should have between two people who supposedly shared a marriage.

Trying to distract myself, I opened Instagram, planning to scroll for only a moment before heading home to the mansion I alone was paying for.

The first post appeared on my screen.

And in less than a heartbeat, my entire world fractured.
