Step 5: Form the Cookies
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls between your palms. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Gently flatten each ball slightly with the bottom of a glass or your fingers. If desired, sprinkle colored sugar or Easter-themed sprinkles on top before baking.
Step 6: Bake
- Bake in the preheated oven for 8–10 minutes , or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft. Be careful not to overbake—these cookies should remain soft and chewy.
Step 7: Cool & Decorate
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Optional: Once cooled, decorate with royal icing or additional sprinkles for an extra festive touch.
