My Husband Forgot We Had Hidden Cameras — What I Saw Him Doing In Our Bedroom Made Me Rush Home In Absolute Panic

Jake sat up too quickly. “Mara, stop. This isn’t what you think.”

“Oh really?” I snapped. “Then tell me which part I misunderstood. The part where you’re walking? Or the part where you brought another woman into our bed?”

The woman exhaled slowly.

“I’m not sleeping with your husband,” she said.

I laughed bitterly.

“Sure.”

She reached down and picked something up from the bed.

It was a brace.

Then another.

Then a thick folder full of medical notes and exercise diagrams.

“My name is Lena,” she said carefully. “I’m a rehabilitation specialist.”

I turned slowly toward Jake.

“You brought a doctor into our bedroom in secret,” I said, “while pretending to be paralyzed in front of your wife?”

Jake closed his eyes like someone bracing for impact.

“Please lower your voice,” he murmured.

“Lower my voice?” I shot back. “You’ve lost your mind.”

Lena spoke before he could.

“He started working with me last year,” she said. “A colleague referred him after new scans showed incomplete nerve damage. There was a chance he might regain partial mobility with aggressive therapy.”

Jake added quickly, “Not all this time. I wasn’t faking for twenty years.”
