Becoming pregnant at 17 is like having your world turned upside down. For Claire, it wasn’t just fear that overwhelmed her… it was shame. While her classmates were choosing their dresses for the end-of-year dance, she was learning to hide her belly behind her textbooks. But when, at the first ultrasound, she saw two little hearts beating side by side, one certainty dawned on her: whatever happened, she would be there for them.
Abandoned… but never defeated

Julien, her first love, had promised to stay. He spoke of the future, of family, of courage. Then, overnight, he disappeared. No more calls, no more messages.
Claire found herself alone, pregnant with twins, forced to become an adult faster than expected.
Lucas and Nathan were born in a whirlwind of emotions and exhaustion. The first few years were marked by sleepless nights, homemade birthday cakes, and silent sacrifices. She juggled multiple jobs, always putting them last, and making their dreams her priority.
She never complained. She simply moved forward.
A success built by three

The boys grew up different, but deeply united. Lucas, impulsive and outspoken. Nathan, calm and thoughtful. Together, they found their balance.
At 16, they were accepted into an early college program. Claire cried tears of pride in the high school parking lot. After years of hard work, they had reached a major milestone.
She thought the worst was behind them.
She was mistaken.
The return of the past

On a rainy Tuesday, the twins waited for him in unusual silence.
“We met Dad,” they finally said.
Julien had become the director of their program. He told them a very different version of the story: according to him, Claire had prevented him from being present. He claimed he had been sidelined against his will.
But he went further.
He threatened them: if Claire refused to play the role of the irreproachable ex-partner at an official banquet organized by the institution, he would use his influence to compromise their academic future.
The shock was brutal. Sixteen years of effort seemed to falter in a few sentences.
